“It is a fact that a grain of wheat must fall to the ground and die before it can grow and produce much more wheat. If it never dies, it will never be more than a single seed.” (‭‭John‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭ERV‬‬)

The main difference between a fruit and a vegetable is that fruits have seed in them.  There are some fruits that are generally referred to as vegetables.  An example is tomatoes; it has seeds in it, so its a fruit.  When God created man and blessed him to be fruitful (Genesis 1:28), God was actually saying, “I have put seed in you, now work it out into a fruit.”

From the text, we see that the process of the seed becoming a fruit involves death.  That seed must die, otherwise it will never become a fruit.  And if it never becomes a fruit, it will never multiply and fill the earth.  If it never fills the earth, it will never subdue the earth and have dominion (Genesis 1:28).  Therefore, it will never fulfill God’s purpose for it.

The farmer provides the conditions for the seed to grow and become fruitful.  Part of the conditions is putting that seed in an adverse situation; burying it in the ground.  Read THAT BLESSING!!  The seed must lose its current identity and become the identity the farmer sees it to be.  Therefore it must die!  The nature of the soul is flesh.  The soul must die to its fleshly nature for it to become fruitful with its heavenly nature; the soul must be buried in Christ and be transformed into the nature of Christ.

The farmer provides water and sunlight, but it’s the seed that must do the work of becoming fruitful.  It must use the resources the farmer provides to return back to life.  It takes work for that seed to develop its roots, push itself out of the ground, grow its stem, and grow its branches and leaves.  Then, it’s main work is the bearing of its fruits, which, if they do not show up on its branches it really didn’t do the work it was supposed to do.  Bearing fruit takes work!  Not every seed makes it – we don’t know if that fig tree Jesus cursed, ever once bore fruit, but we know that Jesus cursed it because it didn’t have fruit on it when it should have had fruit (Matthew 21:18-22).

A caterpillar does not suddenly turn into a butterfly.  It had the seed to become a butterfly in it all along, but it must work the butterfly out for the world to see and experience.  It didn’t have every seed; it specifically had the seed to become a butterfly.  Otherwise, it could have been anything else.  We cannot just be whoever we want to be, we become who the seed in us is, otherwise we really become nobody.   So, that caterpillar must shed its skin first if it’s ever going to become a butterfly; it must lose its identity as a caterpillar.  Have you seen any video on this process?  It’s work!!  That caterpillar gets into some serious work!  You must get into some serious work of becoming the image of Christ in you.  You must UNLEARN your fleshly identity after you are born again and LEARN your love, your light identity.

Dear Reader, you carry in you the seed of greatness!  This seed is the solution you have come to deliver to this world.  Problems are darkness, which only light can eliminate.  Therefore, the seed you carry in you is light (John 1:9)!  The kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of light.  You carry the kingdom inside you!  You must work that seed to become fruitful in you; you must work the kingdom out of you and into the world.

In order words, your fleshly identity must be dominated by the identity of love, the identity of light in you.  You must discover yourself and begin to multiply yourself.  Discover the light in you and begin to multiply it.  This has nothing to do with religion or our religious works, this is discovering who you are exactly and living that person out.  And, this takes work!  Get to work on yourself and let your light shine!  There are too many depending on your light to shine.  It’s time to look inwards and work the kingdom out!  So, are you working?  Are you winning your own soul?  Unless you win your own soul first, you abide alone… like the fig tree (Matthew 21:18-22).

I pray for God to grant you the wisdom and knowledge to understand your relevance to kingdom of heaven on the earth, and how you are to function in multiplying it here on earth.  I pray that you will be fruitful and that your life will be truly pleasing to God.  In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Produce the kingdom of heaven this week!
