As believers, there are some issues we face that we think should never be spoken of or tried to be resolved – the no go areas.  But take a look at Jesus…  In this week’s Inspirational Truth, “THE DIRT UNDERNEATH THE CARPET” I write about the need for us to get committed to resolving the issues we face.  I encourage you to read it and share it with others.  I would also love to read your thoughts on it, kindly leave me a comment.  Thank you!  READ!

I was thinking of the different experiences people go through, and in my mind, I wondered if it was what they bargained for when they were little children.  I also wondered if it was what their parents thought concerning them when they were little children.  We plan and do the best for our children but how come some children have very painful and devastating experiences when they grow to become teenagers and beyond?

I thought about some adults I know battling challenge after challenge.  Did they know their life would be so hard at some point in their journey of life?  Did they ever imagine anything like that?  I don’t think so.  I imagine the pain in a mother’s heart, a father’s heart to see their child go through such unpleasant situations.  Then I began to think of other people who had gone through very unpleasant, painful, tough and hard situations and are today, using their experience and what they learnt from it as a message to help others who are facing similar situations they experienced.  Have you heard the phrase, “my mess has become my message”?

I thought of myself too and my journey to get to where I am today.  And then I thought of my children.  What would their journey be like?  I suddenly realized that we will all have to go through our own experience of life to fulfill our purpose.  The reality is that no parent knows the exact experiences their children will go through to fulfill their purpose.  Our experience is what gives us the confidence and authenticity to speak on whatever subject the Lord has called us to bring change in.  I suddenly realized that no matter how much I teach, guide, guard and protect my children, they also will have to go through their own experience.

Did my mother know that I would encounter depression on my path?  No, she didn’t!  And it broke her to find out.  My prayer now for my children is that whatever they face in their journey of life, that they would have the knowledge, wisdom and understanding to face it victoriously.   That they would be able to make the right choices, the right decisions and the right judgment.  That even if they fall at any point, they would be able to successfully pick themselves up without the help of anyone but the one without Whom they can do nothing, as was my experience.

Therefore, more than ever before, I must train them to know exactly who they are and to live everyday more conscious of that person, and be a better version of that person.  I must train them now at this stage of their life to:

  • discover their purpose and begin to live it out
  • identify their talents and gifts and begin to develop and maximise them
  • learn how to excellently deliver with joy and satisfaction, the solution(s) their purpose provides
  • enjoy their everyday life

I believe that not just my children, but your children as well, will be honoured everywhere because they have a special heritage.  Our children will be powerful in the earth, no matter what they encounter in life.

As parents, we have to be prepared with this knowledge so that we can train our children from a position of focus and strength, so that they are prepared to go through their life experiences triumphantly.  We must train our children to face life from a position of strength and remain standing no matter what.

This summer, we want to train our children to reveal their true selves.  We want to train them to know their true identity and not be confused with another’s.  We want to train them to naturally rise above any form of peer pressure or negativity in the world, because there’s plenty of that going on right now in the world.  IMG_0211We want to train our children to be proactive.  We want to train our children to learn to and know how to manage their lives effectively and make the right choices, the right decisions and the right judgment. Don’t let your children miss out on this summer school holding in Lagos, Nigeria!

I pray that as you invest in training your children in the way that they should go, their choices, decisions and judgment will always make you proud.  In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!  Amen!!  God bless you specially!!

Hello everyone!img_9691

“But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

We learn from the word that man’s life is designed to be sustained by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.  See PRINCIPLE OF SUSTENANCE.  So, why don’t we engage in a practical process of living on the word of God.

If the word of God is the food we need to sustain us, that is, the food that delivers other kinds of food: the material things we need, then it is very important that we are focused on this food.  So, let’s renew our minds, learn the word and renovate our lives with some #wordfood!

1. Every week, choose a verse of scripture that you want to live on.  E.g. Luke 1:37 – Nothing is impossible with God.

2. Meditate upon it day and night.  That is, dissect it totally: ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding of it, think about it continually, find out how it is translated in other bible translations and, explain it to yourself.

3. Pay attention to ensuring you use it.  Situations will definitely arise to test that word, so pay attention to use it.  No matter what comes up, before you react, think how you can use your #wordfood.  Remember! That situation arose to test if you would use the word or not. And your using the word is an indication to God that you trust Him.

4. Educate others about your #wordfood.  The more you talk about it and teach others on it, the more it nourishes you, the more you are empowered to use it, and you’ll find that you receive revelations on it too.

5. Record your experience and testimonies because you will surely have them.  Trust me!!

Did God personally speak a word to you?  That’s also your #wordfood.  Be bold, courageous to live on that.  Does that word seem terribly ridiculous or is it a word that you know will completely shake your world?  Trust God!  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you, and then go ahead and do that word.  You will surely win!

For accountability, you can choose someone to be your #wordfood partner.  Let them know what your #wordfood is for that week.  Ask them to from time to time check in on you to see how you’re doing with your #wordfood.  It would be great to ask them to also join in on this mind renewal, learning, growing, transformation and enjoyment of life, because that is what this exercise is.

Or, every Monday, post your #wordfood in the #wordfood thread in OWF on Facebook or Instagram.  Just the verse of scripture is enough, but if you want to add more words go ahead!  Somebody else will be inspired by it and also will be praying for you to be strengthened to live on your #wordfood no matter what!

We all look forward to all our testimonies!  And our growth!!  Glory!  Imagine what our lives will be like by December!  Oh, you can post your testimonies anytime.  Just use the hashtag #wordfood.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will open up the word to you and make it a living thing in you. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!!

Did you ever wonder or understand what Jesus meant in Matthew 4:4 when He replied to satan that “man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God”?  In this week’s Inspirational Truth, “PRINCIPLE OF SUSTENANCE”  I take a close look at those words, realising Jesus was teaching us a principle.  I encourage you to read it and share it with others.  I would also love to read your thoughts on it, please leave a comment.  Thank you!  Click HERE to read.

It is very interesting to read from John 15 that it is possible for a branch to appear connected to a tree, probably even look healthy with green leaves, but be actually disconnected from the tree.  In this week’s Inspirational Truth, “DON’T JUST HANG THERE, PLUG IN!”  I take a close look at how that is possible, and how it affects us.  I encourage you to read it and share it with others.  I would also love to read your thoughts on it.  Click HERE to read.

Another Successful TimeOut

IMG_8705.JPGI remember when the Lord asked me to host the monthly OWF TimeOut on air.  It seemed like I didn’t hear Him clearly.  How can we host our monthly meetings on air when the internet service in my part of the world is yet to be perfected.  Would anyone joining the meeting from Nigeria be able to connect the entire duration of the meeting?  What about me, would my internet subscription not completely be exhausted before we are done half way?

Hmm… God knows what we do not know.

We went ahead and successfully held the first one in April.  Come May, and I couldn’t even stay connected.  Not because I did not have enough data, but my internet service wouldn’t work.  So now, the excitement of the first successful TimeOut on air began to wear out, but I had to remind myself that we didn’t send ourselves on this errand.  God did!  And God never fails.  The message in the recorded video I posted to explain why we couldn’t have the meeting as planned seemed to be what people needed to hear.

God is great!  All things will always work together for your good if you love God and are called according to His purpose.

I am so excited to do this blog because we just had another successful TimeOut on air! Yay!! I am definitely getting used to it.  God is all the time good!  If He sent you, He will certainly back you up.  Trust Him!

Be fulfilled + fabulous always!
