“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” (Joshua 1:8 NLT)
“Don’t copy the behaviors and customs of the world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2 NLT)
Changing the way you think in the text, means the same thing as renewing your mind. The Greek word that is translated ‘renew’ is also translated ‘renovate’. This means that to renovate your life is to transform the way you think, because a person’s life is as they think (Proverbs 23:7). The transformation of one’s life is by the Holy Spirit, as they intentionally and continually look into the word of God as in a mirror (2 Corinthians 3:18).
