“Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.””
‭‭(Job‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

When you say you are blessed, what does that really mean?  We can say all the good stuff that comes with being blessed, but did you know that the blessing can lead you to the bad stuff as well?  What????  Yes!  I wrote in IT WAS DESTINED TO HAPPEN that before we are born, we are set on a course towards a particular destination, and immediately we are born into the world, there is a pull from our “approved” destination to get us there successfully.

However, to get to our destination, we must have encounters that push us to be positioned every step of the way.  You cannot play it cool enough, you must hit something or enter into something… nothing in the world became perfect or fit for use without going through some form of beating or breaking, or fire.  Think about it!  It is the same way we us humans.  Our encounters break us open to reveal the true great us.

Someone may experience life as very smooth and easy, everything going well.  Then, all of a sudden, things begin to change.  One issue here, another there… it would almost seem like the devil just got to hear about you and has unleashed on you.  Sometimes, we may even have a face or a name of some human being to point to, as the one causing us all this trouble.  Right there in that situation, we could be crying out to God to bless us, “Lord pour your blessings out upon me and bless me.”  Or we could be repeating over and over again, “I am blessed. I am blessed!”  Hoping for the blessing of God to show up and change our situation.  Do you know what I found out?

I have come to find out that it’s the blessing upon us; God’s hand upon our lives, the anointing of God upon us, the favour of God upon our lives, the Holy Spirit…  I found out that the very blessing we are praying for, so that we can come out of that trouble, is the very power that has led us into that trouble.  What???!!!!

We know that it was the blessing upon Joseph that positioned him in the palace.  But it was also that blessing that began his journey from his father’s house to the slave market, to Potiphar’s house, into prison…  That blessing set him up and positioned him.  Who brought the lion and the bear to David as a shepherd boy?  The blessing takes us through these hard places to prune, train, refine, break, mould and test us, before positioning us.  Did you ever notice that it was the Holy Spirit that led Jesus into the wilderness in Matthew 4:1?  What did the Holy Spirit lead him there for?  To be tempted of the devil.

Satan wanders to and fro the earth (Job 1:7), but God draws his attention to His blessed children, as we see in our text.  Why?  To lead us to the next level for the fulfillment of His purpose for their lives.  We see the blessing in the form of woman, lead Adam to the tree to be tempted of the devil.  That blessing!!  Hmm…

That blessing can lead you through the valley of the shadow of death, but the Lord will be right there with you to bring you out successfully.  However, if you do not understand what is going on, you can turn around and give up.  Fear, discouragement can get the better of you and cause you not to get to the destination the blessing is taking you to.  But if you understood that it’s the blessing working, what would your reaction be?  You would probably tell yourself, “Relax, the blessing is working.”

Your focus will not be on how to get yourself out of the valley, your focus will be to trust God and know that when the blessing is done with its work on you in the valley, you will come out perfect, entire wanting nothing (James 1:3).  Job lived and enjoyed a more successful life than he did before he hit rock bottom.

So, dear Reader, are you in a hard or difficult place right now?  Does it seem as though the whole earth has broken loose upon you?  Have you found yourself in some sort of prison?  Whatever situation it is you are facing right now, don’t fret!  Just tell yourself to relax because the blessing is working.  I would never be doing what I am doing today if I did not encounter something.  In this world we will surely have troubles but it is how we respond to the troubles that truly matters.

I pray that you will count it all joy when you fall into any adverse situation, knowing that the blessing upon you is only passing you through that route to get you to higher ground. I pray that you will focus on knowing the voice of God so that you can hear Him lead you through and out of whatever situation you find yourself in.  And I pray that even in that situation, you will have peace.  In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Amen!! Enjoy a blessed week!

Hahahahahahaha! One of the finest article I have ever read! This one got me jumping and screaming! Alleluia!
The blessing is working! Interestingly the Lord Jesus Christ gave us this expo, He said we will face tribulations in this world because we are His, but then He tells us to cheer up – showing us the attitude to put on when we are tried as a result of the blessing we carry. Why did He tell us to cheer up? Because of the glory that will follow – without the tribulations there will be no glory! And we know that greater is He that is in us than what we are going through.
There are lots of inspiring stories in the Bible that explains “this blessing”. I’m so excited, knowing that “the blessing is working!” Thank you PS Ehi! God bless you real good!
