The OWF Community is a sisterhood of women who have decided to live for an audience of One, Jesus. Women who have decided to be fulfilled and fabulous women after God’s own heart, and have decided to be passionately committed to their personal development – effectively developing themselves to fulfill the purpose for their existence and enjoying a rich, full and satisfying life, as well as carrying out their personal discipleship ministry as commissioned by Jesus in Matthew 28:16-20.
Although our target audience is married women, our programs, activities and tools equip and prepare the single woman (never married, divorced or widowed) for a successful life and marriage that they will truly enjoy. In my research and observation, I have found that too many, much more than a handful of Christian women, especially married christian women, live unfulfilled and dissatisfied lives.
It is also very sad to know that too many women suffer quietly in their own pain and challenge not being able to share it with anyone who can if nothing else, pray with her or speak the truth that can set her free. This is not necessarily because there is no one in her life to share her pain with, but that she is unable to trust those she knows. Some women truthfully withhold sharing even their victories for fear that the other may become jealous and… who knows. I suffered depression that almost cost me my life. If I knew then what I know now, or had a sisterhood community I could trust, I may never have suffered as I did. However, I may never be who I am today without that experience. Now, with the OWF Community, I want to stand with other women to help them discover, live and enjoy their lives, which by the way is beautiful whether they know it now or not.
