JANUARY 15 – 21, 2017
“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to completely finish His work.” (John 4:34 AMP)
This week’s devotional is a continuation of the 2017 message the Lord gave me. I encourage you to read the previous devotionals “NEW BEGINNINGS, NEW MANIFESTATIONS and IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH” for a fuller knowledge.
When Jesus stepped into the Samaritan woman by the well’s life (John 4:6-41), truth stepped in and changed her life. The bible lets us know that Jesus is the truth (John 14:6), which means there may be other truths but Jesus is the ultimate, authentic truth; “The” truth. In search of “The” truth, other truths (pseudo truths) have emerged. When the woman received the truth, she stepped into her purpose. When truth (Jesus) steps into your life, He reveals who you truly are. You immediately step into your purpose.
Worshipping the Father in truth (John 4:23-24), is the renewing of our mind to the mind of Christ. Which simply means changing our mind to be in agreement with the mind of Jesus. Therefore, we intentionally, continuously, constantly and consistently go after the word to know the mind of Jesus so that we can agree with it. When we do so, the Spirit of God transforms our lives to express more of the life of Christ (changing our thoughts and attitudes to the thoughts and attitudes of Jesus).
In the text, Jesus declares His focus in life, which is to fulfill the purpose for which He was born. As we worship in truth (expressing more of the thoughts and attitudes of Jesus), our focus also becomes to fulfill the purpose for which we were born into this life.
When we worship the Father in spirit and in truth, we begin to express our truth for all to see, experience and be impacted by; we begin to live the life of fulfillment. Hallelujah!!
This woman by the well who had had a not so pleasant and maybe isolated life, all of a sudden stepped into her truth and purpose as one who inspired and transformed people’s lives. Read it! She became important and sought after, such that even after being with Jesus, the people reported back to her their belief in Jesus. Who are you? What is your truth? Are you living your truth? You can never say I know who I am until you know the purpose you were born for, until you are living your truth.
It is your truth that God wants to use to change people’s lives. It is your truth! It’s your truth that will impact your world. Until we begin to impact lives with our truth, we live dissatisfied lives. Today we’re up, tomorrow we’re down. Your truth disciplines you to be content in any situation and in all things.
Your truth is not a religion. It’s not about church. Your truth focuses on the kingdom of God; bringing people into the kingdom of God, and not populating your church. You and your truth are a mobile church, a mobile house of the Lord. And as long as you are stayed in your truth (stayed in the house of the Lord) Psalm 23 will be your present hour reality.
So dear Reader, if you have not discovered your truth, now is the right time to do so. With a new year, comes a new chance to start over. And this year the Lord has specifically said “new beginnings, new manifestations.” It is time for the true you to be unveiled! It is time to live the life of fulfillment. It is time to manifest the blessings of God because when you step into your purpose and begin to live your truth, your focus will be on doing the will of Him who sent you into this life and completely finishing His work. The result is very exciting! You’ll naturally and effortlessly become fruitful, you’ll multiply, your ideas and value will fill your world (no matter the size of your world), you’ll make impact, become sought after and dominate by becoming a source of wealth and fulfillment in your world.
I pray that you will walk in your truth and manifest the glory and greatness in you, causing kings to rush to experience you from lands you never even heard of. Enjoy a fruitful week. God bless you greatly!
