FEBRUARY 26 – MARCH 3, 2018
“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 AMP)
For most of us, when we read or talk about the text above, our minds are on the traditional style of evangelism – going from place to place telling people about Jesus. I wonder, was Joseph a witness for God? He did say to Pharaoh that on his own he could not interpret dreams but God who does, will tell Pharaoh the interpretation of his dreams (Genesis 41). How many Egyptians do you think turned to Joseph’s God because of the solution that Joseph was to Pharaoh’s dreams and the extremely bad famine?
Stop complaining that there are problems around you. Don’t join others to complain and speak in frustration anymore. Where there is a problem, there is a solution. And guess what? The solution is right there, YOU! You want to know more? Your solution is your money! The more relevant your solution, the more valuable you are, the more people will pay any amount for what you have to offer.
Problems around us are an opportunity for us to make a difference in our lives and in the lives of others. Never look at a problem as a problem again. See it as an opportunity to shine. The problems you identify are not the same problems everyone else identifies. That’s because not everybody was created with the solution for that problem. Aren’t there some things that you complain about that some others do not see as a problem, or things others complain about that you do not see as a problem?
Jesus was very specific when He told the disciples that they will be witnesses unto Him when the Holy Spirit comes upon them; when the enabler, the advantage, the ability to make happen, the blessing… First, they will be witnesses in Jerusalem, then Judea, before Samaria and then the ends of the earth. Jesus didn’t just make the statement in that order, He knew exactly what He was saying. Offer your solutions to the problems you identify around you first, before looking to the whole world. Start from where you are and grow from there.
As you offer your solution, you learn new things and perfect some things that you require for when you move on to Judea. So that, by the time you get to the ends of the earth, you have the character and the expertise to support your solution there. Joseph started offering his administrative skills in his father’s house (Jerusalem), before he took his solution to Potiphar’s house (Judea), and to the prison (Samaria), and then, to the palace (ends of the earth). People came from Egypt and all around the world to buy food from Joseph (Genesis 41:57).
I love Joseph’s story. There’s so much to learn from it. There’s so much unveiled in it about our lives as believers. By the time Joseph got to the palace, he had not only perfected his solution, matured his character and learnt to depend more on the Lord and hear His voice clearer, but he had also helped a lot of people along the way.
So, dear Reader, the breakthrough you’ve been praying for is here! You are the breakthrough!! That break has just been waiting for you to do what is required to be done for it to go through. It is time to ask the Lord for wisdom and insight into the problems around you, and what you can do at this moment to solve them. What can you do?
Not anymore will you sit around feeling helpless or continuously praying for the Lord to do something when He already did by creating you. Not anymore will you complain and murmur… It’s time to say to yourself, “Not anymore!” When people try to engage you in talks of complaints, murmurings… remind yourself and say to them, “Not anymore!” So now, get to work, your world is waiting.
I pray that you will arise and be the solution that you are. I pray that you will hear the Holy Spirit speak to you, and that you will take advantage of His presence in your life to help you become the solution you were sent to this earth to be. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen!!
